For a long time, I trained like the goal was to punish myself into a better body. It worked — until it didn't. Injuries, burnout, and the quiet sense that I'd turned something that should feel good into one more thing to white-knuckle through.
The middle path is what I found on the other side of that. Not the hardest program or the strictest diet, but the one I could actually keep doing — the version of training that's still there on the busy weeks, the low-motivation weeks, the years when life gets loud.
Now I coach people who are coming back to their bodies after a long time away: new parents, people recovering from injury, anyone who's tried the all-or-nothing approach and wants something more humane. We build strength slowly, sustainably, and without shame.
If you want to feel strong without making fitness your whole personality, we'll get along.
